Once upon a time, my advice was to spend as little time as you can with those who you’ll just never convince anyway, and those who already agree with you – because after all, we can only really effect change by turning the undecided into our confederates.
When we talk about employee engagement, we mean things like being present and focusing on our work, being mentally stimulated by what we do; even being emotionally committed to the company (and the people) we work for. It’s one of the most positive, good-for-us words in the business leadership lexicon!
